okayy, so finally after more than a week of not blogging, i'm finally more free and more 'alive' to settle down and update my blog! i say 'alive' cause i just recovered from food poisoning! bleh, headed out for dinner and 'ah boys to men' to celebrate my 21st with hubby and family when i suddenly got severe tummy ache which got more and more painful as the time passed. so painful that i had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. embarrassing man! first time being sent to the hospital in an ambulance. lol. not a fun experience. the ride was extremely bumpy, which made it even more painful for me. >.<" okok, i shall not discuss this unpleasant and painful experience any further. *shudder*
so anyway, i had my company's dinner and dance on the 8th of November. just two days before my wedding. lol. it was mad crazy!! very hyped up at all. this was the first time i attended a company's D&D. wasn't sure what to expect. definitely wasn't expecting it to be so wild!
emcee of the event was justin mission. three words to describe him. crazy, hilarious and wild. definitely brought the house down with his wit, wild sense of humour and gungho-ness. lol. he loved disturbing the single pretty ladies, flirted with one of the guys who dressed up as a girl. occasionally too crude for my taste. but it was all done in good humour, so overall still alright i guess. made us all laugh till tummy ache. lol. i don't think i ever laughed that hard watching a comedy or any other performance. even funnier than running man. hahaha!
the performance by some of the teams were alright. especially the outlet teams. some of them dressed to the extremes! there were marios and mushrooms running around, flint stone cavemen and women, x-men who looked more like Cisco officers in full black bodysuits, pirates and mermaids from pirates of the caribbean, those olden day china students who protested against the government or something, blacks with crazy afros and sequin-y a go-go tops and olden day chinese brides and grooms wearing the kua with their mei-po (matchmaker) and even a sedan. o.O exaggerating to the max, but funny to look at. lol!
a few things that were an overkill were the noise level made by the different teams and GANGNAM STYLE!! after a while, all that whistling and screaming gets darn annoying and hurts the ears. and gangnam style? almost every team performed it. first two times still alright. we were kinda going "heeyyyy...sexy lady!!" along with the music. was bored of it by the third time. after that, its like...omg, again?!? ENOUGH ALREADY!! even justin was sick of it. -.-"
dinner was...well i don't really know how good it was since i didn't really eat. only had the first dish, the fried food was awesome, the jellyfish blah..and the noodle dish. skipped the rest cause it didn't really appeal to me and my increasingly picky appetite. >.<" oh! i ate 2 pieces of the koropok that came with the fish dish though! teehee!
and the segment that everyone was most excited about...the lucky draw!! all the prizes were awesome please! company was so generous! like, how many other local companies would give out tablets, ipads, samsung galaxy S3, iphone 5, laptops, LCD televisions, LV sling bags, and other branded handbags as 30th to 15th prizes?!? was aiming for the S3 (especially since my phone is 3/4 into the grave) but obviously didn't get it. i did win the 37th prize though! won myself a xbox kinect with three games worth $429. hehehe. lucky me! however, already have xbox kinect at home. (which mummy bought and we used it like only...four times?) so decided to sell it and use the cash to get myself a much needed new phone. (:
okay enough raving about the D&D...its now time for photos!! lol, didn't realise my team loved camwhoring so much!! had my hair at the salon near my place and did my own make up. (no time to book appointment for my make up to be done by the pros) used black glitter eyeliner and black and light grey eyeshadow, which made the whole thing turn out a bit grey-ish? was trying not to be too goth (too much black) as i thought it would be an overkill for such an event...end up almost of my colleagues turned up with really black lined eyes. WTS. should have gone goth and drawn black thick eyeliner la! (something which i haven't done in a really long while and i really really miss it) :( *emokid*
