summary of the past weeks

okayy, so today's update will just be a quick summary on what's been happening in my married life for the past few weeks.

i'm still sorting and arranging the actual day wedding photos. there's like...360+ photos of just the tea ceremony and church wedding. and hundreds more photos of the wedding dinner. really is can ki siao (go crazy) trying to organise and maybe edit them. not only do i have to sort out and print photos for both my side and hubby's side of the family, for our friends and colleagues, i still need to choose and probably edit those that i'm planning to post on my blog and facebook. really can upload till com explode. lol. and i have like, zero patience when it comes to uploading photos. not to mention that i've been really really busy with work and falling sick and performing wifely duties (okay la, haven't done a lot. :x but hey! i did cook a simple dinner for hubby last night!). lol. so...obviously, the blog entries about my wedding and honeymoon will only be posted a while later...soon soon okayy! i promise i will settle them ASAP. >.<"

so..marriage life has been kinda...blah? some fun times luh, but most of the time its just, get woken up by hubby while he wakes up to prepare for work, hug and kiss hubby goodbye when he leaves for work, fall back to sleep and then wake up again when its time for me to prepare and leave for work. after work, either meet at the lrt and walk home together, or reach home to see him opening the door for me. most of the time mummy cooks dinner for us, else we either eat out or she buys dinner back and we eat together. after dinner, i'll probably watch a show or two with mummy while hubby goes back to the room to play his games, or we'll both be on our respective computers doing our own stuff or playing games. when it's his bedtime, he'll either sleep first or i'll join him in bed. then we'll both roll over to our favourite position, back facing each other, and fall asleep. i complained that he never cuddle me to sleep, not loving one. then he say he wants to cuddle me, but i always very warm, he cannot take the heat. -.-" this kinda life, boring right? >.< haha. i miss the times when we were dating, much more romantic and fun please!

never really expected that marriage life would be like that..well, didn't know what it would be like, but certainly not this boring and monotonous!? couldn't stand it and talked to him about it, so now we're like trying to spice up our marriage life. lol! not the naughty way luh! but try to include more fun into our daily lives lo..

my father-in-law gave us this while we were there to help pack his house last sunday. (they're moving house real soon.)

kinda interesting eh! its some sort of card that we are supposed to pick each day, with instructions telling us what to do to bring more fun and excitement to our marriage life. we started playing this last night! and this is what we got!!

i picked "play twister or any game that requires close physical contact" while he got "sneak out at night for supper". was excited about the sneaking out for supper part, suggested we nap for a while, then wake up at 2am to go for supper, but hubby said we couldn't do it cause mummy sleeps very very late, like at..5, 6am! lol. true uh. >.< so i suggested he tell mummy to sleep earlier that night. then he said, ya, because we want to sneak out for supper. LOL! didn't have twister, so we played pillow fight instead. was obviously losing so i started tickling him instead. teehee!! :D

also brought back this from his house!!

needless to say, we've been shooting each other every other day! lol. a bit childish maybe, but it's damn fun okayy!! :D

went mandarin orchard for hubby's SUTD admission briefing followed by scape and far east plaza to do some cosmetic shopping last saturday! went for movie (hotel transylvania) and late dinner (pasta mania) with mummy and the kids at downtown east. here's the loot for that day!

coastal sands 78 shadow blush palette, nyx lipstick, e.l.f waterproof eyeliner from smoochiezz's event at far east plaza.
e.l.f lipglosses, e.l.f compact powder, e.l.f cream eyeshadow and e.l.f eyelash curler from D.Y.O.N International's retail store at scape underground.
studded triple strap watch from the flea at scape.

love the eyeshadow and blush palette from coastal sands!! the colours are so rich and pigmented!!

and on sunday, we went to plaza singapura to collect my solitaire ring from citigems (wedding gift from one of my aunt and mummy's colleagues), bought some opaque stockings for sis from M&S, and a new son to add to my collection! it was on promotion, buy 2 for $55. so i got a pair, a purple one for myself, and another for sis. won't state the colour and picture here cause it's gonna be for her christmas present! in case she reads my blog and finds out how her present looks like luh. lol, she already knows i got her one of this soft toys for christmas.

introducing my new son!! currently have not come up with a name for him yet. :x

was on mc yesterday due to stomachache. decided to surprise hubby by cooking a simple meal for him since mummy and sis won't be home. hubby was pleasantly surprised and very very happy. lol. never realised cooking a simple dinner for him would make him so happy. tried my hand at making his favourite baked potato wedges. so relived it turned out okayy, and so glad he loved it! :D doesn't look very delicious, cause it was a last minute decision to cook. didn't have time to go search for proper food to cook, but hubby enjoyed it all the same!! was rewarded with lots of thank yous and hugs and kisses! :D

mushroom seafood soup, sweet corn, cheesy scrambled egg, baked spiced potato wedges and cherry tomatoes!

pre-wedding photos

so..as you can see in the title, today's post will just be some pre-wedding shots of hubby and me!! not much text, just photos! (:

okay, so we did both indoor and outdoor photoshoot. boy, was the experience extremely exhausting!! especially the outdoor one. not fun to be wearing a heavy gown and running around! and not fun to have to change gowns in a toilet (super clean one, lucky me!). changed hairstyles for each outfit and no its definitely not fun to have hair-sprayed hair combed into different styles! :(

after the shoot i complained.."i don't understand how some people can get married so many times! one time is more than enough for me!!" lol.

i had a total of five outfits. two wedding gowns and one evening gown for indoor photoshoot, and one short tea dress and one wedding gown for outdoor photoshoot. indoor was done in the studio, obviously, and we had two locations for outdoor. one was hotel rendezvous' fullhouse cafe and lifestyle store, the second was some bridge in a park in punggol. punggol waterway or something? not sure, baby took care of the locations.

outfit one -- formal shot.

solo shot of the bride.

solo shot of the groom. lol so act cool. :P

maki-san at the cathay

went to plaza singapura this afternoon for lunch and shopping after church. lunched at manna story and bought a chain for hubby's cross and a pair of diamond earrings for myself from citigems using my staff pass and birthday voucher. then purchased a really nice looking winter jacket from fox for office use. recently just changed seats in the office and i'm sitting directly under the aircon. freezing max and the direct wind blowing at my head gave me a mega headache that lasted the entire day. so i'm hoping this jacket which has a hoodie would be thick enough to protect my body and my head from the cold. lol.

after all the shopping, headed over to the cathay to catch argo. bought tickets for the 7pm show but it was like 530pm when we purchased the tickets. had one and a half hour to waste. so we went to gramophone to check out if there were any interesting movies to watch. wasted about half an hour inside till our legs were sore so we headed down to the basement to find a seat to rest our feet and maybe grab a bite as i was feeling kinda hungry.

and tadah!! i found maki-san! i think it has been open for 2 months plus? but i haven't been to the cathay for like ages already luh, so didn't know there was a new shop around. was super excited when i saw this...

DESIGN YOUR SUSHI & SALAD (like OMG?!? dream come true for me!!)

was even more excited when i saw that avocados were one of the filling choice. avocados are like, one of my top favourite fruits. eating them plain is awesome. eating them in a sushi is heavenly!! lol. was so excited i kept insisting on trying it out. hubby didn't really have the chance to say no. though he was rather unwilling. lol!

outside view of maki-san. (photo found from google.)

photo taken from inside of maki-san. (credits to my canon and i. lol)

basically how it works is first you grab an order chit and a pen from the counter and tick whatever ingredients you want for your sushi or salad (just follow the instructions on the order chit. it's pretty straightforward and simple), then you simply pass your completed order chit to the staff and make your payment. after which you can either choose to stand by the counter and watch them prepare your order, or go back to your seat and wait for them to be done. do note that it's self service, sort of like bubble tea. so you have to pick up the order yourself after they call your number.

only tried the sushi so i'm not really sure about the price and ingredients available for the salad. here's the price list and a rough break down on what to expect on the order chit.

Price list:

Little San - $6.90
3 Essentials + 1 Sprinkle + 1 House Sauce

Mega San - $9.90
5 Essentials + 1 Special + 1 Sprinkle + 1 House Sauce

*prices inclusive of GST, no service charge included. (how awesome is that!?)

Order chit:

  1. select the size you want: little san or mega san
  2. select the type of wrap: nori (seaweed) or soy sesame (additional $1)
  3. select the type of rice: japanese white rice or unseasoned brown rice.
  4. select the essentials: selections include sweet corn, carrot, grilled eggplant, shredded chicken, tuna mayo, various tempura, cheese, avocado and more!
  5. select the specials (only applicable for mega san): selections include smoked duck, grilled unagi, salmon sashimi, tempura soft-shell crab and more!
  6. select the sprinkles: selections include various nuts and seeds, almond flakes, raisins, nori flakes (seaweed), turkey bacon bits and bonito japanese fish flakes and more!
  7. select the house sauce: selections include honey mustard, bbq sauce, japanese mayo, spicy mayo, teriyaki, virgin olive oil, japanese curry, ponzu (japanese mixed citrus) and more!

and here's what i ordered!

pardon the half eaten sushi. lol. as usual too excited, eat halfway then realise forgot take pic.

my mega san consisted of nori, japanese white rice, carrot, crabstick, sweet corn, two servings of avocado (if i had my way, out of five essentials, four would be avocado and one serving of corn - yes that's how crazy i am over avocado), salmon sashimi, pine nuts and japanese mayo.

first mouth, pure bliss i swear!! the creaminess of the avocado mixed with the mayo and salmon sashimi...words can't describe how heavenly it was!! hubby looked at me, smiled/laughed and said i looked very cute with the super gan dong (touched) and xin fu (blissful) expression. lol.

subsequent mouths were still as awesome. was telling hubby how i always thought those celebrities who tasted those delicacy always give those orgasmic, wanna cry kinda face were just acting and full of bullpoopie. i finally realised it is really possible to feel that way!! though i still think they exaggerated a lot luh. hahaha. i myself eat till i started tearing. simply because its really damn good. oh my...just typing about it makes me salivate. lol. think i'll end up dreaming of it tonight. >.<" can't wait to go back and have it again!!

now, if only the shop was located near my place...hubby and family won't have to worry about me not having appetite to eat proper meals again! :D

hubby still hungry i think....

done with dinner and otw to the cinema!
