birthday updates!

FINALLY!! it's about high time i blogged!

okay, i'm soo soo sorry for not blogging for such a long time. say...three months?! forgive me, i've been really busy (and lazy). really, apparently working full time is so exhausting! pretty much don't have much energy for anything else.

nowadays my life is just...eat, sleep, work, chill with baby at home, once a while head out somewhere nice to patoh. i know, boring sad life right! okay luh, at least i still have my amazing boyfriend! hee!

also, the end is coming to an end and that's where all the birthdays start coming in! 21st birthdays especially. it started off with twinnie's birthday.

was not bad, kinda cliquish though. everyone was in their own cliques, the only one mixing around was the birthday girl. lol. cake was alright. didn't have to worry about gaining weight from all that cream cos baby fully utilised it. hahaha! twinnie had a really really good cream facial that night. lol! 

the guys were urging each other to go up and smash her, so wishy washy! got so bored of their 'argument' so i just grabbed the cream (they had eaten the cake and left the cream behind) from baby's hands, gung ho-ly went up to twinnie, smashed it against her face, and ran off the opposite direction. LOL! well, that got baby started. he gave her a good face rub quite a number of times. to the point where i felt so sorry for her. hahahaha!! :P

next was my cousin, QP jie jie's birthday. (not 21st, that was many many years ago. :x)

had a simple dinner at Red Dot at Dempsey Hill. pretty alright place, food was okayy, not the best i've tasted, but then again, they're more known for their beers. QP jie jie had wheat grass beer. it was green, and so scary looking. kept thinking she's drinking some kinda witch's potion. LOL. forgot what beer er ge had. baby and i shared a blue lagoon. it tasted so horrible. *bleah* baby didn't like it either. shan and jing shared a glass of pussyfoot while shan's bf had a chocolate milkshake. lol. they were joking about what a good boy he was. XD

Red Dot has a live band with a chill out setting in the open. honestly speaking though, i preferred the music that was playing on the radio when the band was not playing. :/ the band was more noise pollution than anything else IMO. only nice thing they had was dedications. hehe.

shan and jing wrote QP jie jie a dedication. and i sort of kinda made baby dedicate me a song as well. hee! (yes, i'm thick skin like that. what to do? my baby buay zi dong one. >.<) in the end his song dedication made me cry. hee! no matter what, it was the first dedication he made for me and it's so touching to me please! his song choice was 'nothing on you' by B.O.B ft Bruno Mars. though the band did a mash up with Bruno Mar's 'just the way you are'. the result was not bad, i have to admit. made it twice as touching. hee! or maybe i'm just a cry baby luh. :/

up next was lionel's 21st. just a simple catered dinner at his condo. no photos taken. or rather, i didn't take any photos with the guys. after all lionel is baby's friend. he and i were just acquaintance that met during twinnie's birthday when kenny brought him along. plus, the only other guy i knew there besides lionel and baby was kenny. the rest were their poly and army friends. when we arrived, they didn't even acknowledge my presence. no hi, no nothing. so, whatever. wasn't really in the mood anyway. was having a bad headache and being mosquito bait.

and then...it was finally baby's 21st!! :D

baked a chocolate cake for baby's birthday. my very first time baking a birthday cake! okay luh, i tried baking other variations of chocolate cakes before the actual day. twice to be precise. first was not too bad...second was a flop. something wrong with the recipe. the third and final product was awesome! (not said by me please!) sis was happily eating it and saying it was good. he only realised that it was baked by me after asking where i got the cake from. LOL! means its as good as those cake bakery standards! :D hahaha, i know luh, dreaming only. but still, pretty good for someone who has only baked butter cakes, pandan chiffon cakes and cupcakes her whole life. not to mention i haven't baked ever since i left secondary school. which was....four years ago? :/ skills were rusty already. planning to go for baking lessons to get back what i've lost and forgotten during the four years...baby, idea? haha, you'll get to eat more delicious handmade cookies! :P

that's it for birthdays! next post would be twinnie's poly graduation and baby's air force training graduation. still waiting for them to upload the photos!!
